INCENTIVISED blockchain for real world assets Millicent has scooped the top prize in the latest round of The Digital Commonwealth's ICE Stage start-up pitch competition.
The pitches were delivered at Monday's Mansion House Summit before a panel of three judges - Antony Abel, Helen Disney and Max Butti.
Although the judges confessed the competition between all six pitches was painfully tight, Millicent emerged as the unanimous winner.
Thanks to The Digital Commonwealth's partnership with Paris Blockchain Week, Millicent's victory allows the 'proof-of-participation' specialist to be fast-tracked to The Louvre in Paris and the opportunity to compete for a share of a multi-million dollar prize pot of funding.
The runners-up were Dr Jeremy Sosabowski, founder and CEO of Algodynamix; Brendan Bradley, chairman of Tokenovate; Claire Cummings, founder of Cummings Digital which has partnered with Nemean; Jean-Pierre Dumas, founder of CHEQS; and Meagan Birch, founder of Saiph Tech.
Millicent CEO Kene Ezeji-Okoye said he was thrilled with the win, and the opportunity to head to Paris in April.
"Sharing Millicent’s vision for the future of financial services with some of the industry’s top minds at Mansion House was an amazing experience," he said.
"Being selected out of an incredible group of firms, and in front of that audience really reinforces the fact that we're on the right track. Huge thanks to everyone on the Digital Commonwealth team as well as the judges."
