A PIVOTAL moment in Switzerland’s financial and tax reporting landscape arrived with the announcement of a Swiss digital tax and financial reporting infrastructure.
After more than a decade of dedicated effort, this milestone represents a breakthrough in how the nation's 19,700 accountants and 607,000 legal entities will prepare and file tax declarations and financial reports. It also represents a revolution in how each of the 26 Swiss Cantons will capture and analyse tax declarations and how Switzerland could analyse its economic activity.
The announcement was made by Auditchain Labs AG, technical contributor to the new infrastructure and developer of Pacioli.ai - the Web3 crypto asset disclosure infrastructure - and XBRL CH, the Swiss chapter of XBRL International.
The new Swiss infrastructure is hosted and rendered with Luca SuiteTM, Auditchain's disclosure management system. Inspection is now underway by the Swiss Cantonal, tax and reporting stakeholder community during a consultation period coordinated by XBRL CH. The infrastructure is expected to be deployed to production for the 2025 tax year.
Switzerland, renowned for its precision, efficiency, and innovation, is also home to Crypto Valley - the birthplace of the Ethereum Foundation and home to over 1,200 companies with a value of over CHF 350 billion - according to a CV VC report.
