Volatility continues to shake up the crypto markets

CRYPTOCURRENCY markets are experiencing heightened volatility, with Bitcoin and other digital assets revisiting price levels last seen in November.

Bitcoin is trading just below $80,000 at the time of writing, while altcoins continue to fluctuate sharply - posting strong gains one day and steep declines the next, a trend that has persisted since last week.

Equity markets are facing similar turbulence amid broader macroeconomic uncertainty. Some analysts suggest the recent pullback may represent a retest of price levels prior to the so-called 'Trump pump' which saw crypto markets surge following the US President's inauguration.

The key question for investors is whether this is merely a short-term correction or a sign of long-term volatility. Historical charts show that price swings of 30% for Bitcoin during market consolidation phases are not uncommon. Whether new investors step in at these levels could set the tone for the coming weeks.
